Gameduino2/3 some help porting please.

Post by Nutsy » Mon Feb 05, 2018 7:38 pm

So im going to have a go at trying to port the latest build of the library...
A simple port just to get it working...
I know Lightcalama had done one but its a bit outdated to the main library now missing some of the functions.

I do need a little help though, has the hardware SPI been finished? I know roger did a hack fix a long time ago. But was it ever finished?

Also what is the board define for the baite maple and f4 cores?

Is it really just a case of defining the board and setting what SPI port to use? and the rest just carries on as it should? or are all the ways the SPI calls done needing to be changed?

If anyone can let me know...
thanks

From the Kickstarter...
In 2011 the original Gameduino brought vintage gaming to the Arduino.

In 2013 Gameduino 2 set a new standard in hand-held open-source gaming.

Now Gameduino 3 raises the bar again. Even more processing power for your games and applications - plus real video playback, all using a regular Arduino.
Hardware SPI works.
I have no idea what "board defines" means. Is the info here not satisfactory?

You can also use this
http://wiki.stm32duino.com/index.php?ti ... roductList
to compare resources.

Maple Mini
Red Pill
Blue Pill
Black Pill

You can always look in the *.txt files here for specifics

Beyond that, sounds Nutsy to me

i mean the define names that libraries use to determine what version of code to run depending on what the mcu is...

The "environmentals" are passed from the 2 .txt files I previously linked. You just need to pull 'em up, find what board section you are interested in, and then do some paper & pencil work.

Hi, Nutsy.

Currently GD2UB library work very well with families STM32F1xxx and STM32F4xxx. This library will be based on Gameduino2 with all its functions and microSD reader.

We are working hard to update the new features of Gameduino3, for example playback videos. This already work for example in other MCUs type ESP8266 and export to STM32Fx

The first thing is to understand how to work library in AVR if you understand then you have to work for STM32. As you well know, it is not easy because of testing issues and some errors that are being solved.

An example for informative purposes and to be in the intermediate period.

As well know all the information and advances will be announced in this forum and alternatively in https://foro.ft81xmania.com

The current repository will be https://github.com/FT81xMania/GD2UB

Regards.
