Red / Blue Pill Eagle Library

Post by simonf » Sun Dec 06, 2015 7:51 pm

Hi I know this isn't a Library as per this section. I have modified the maple mini library I had, I added a Blue/Red pill. Be aware I have never done this before so check your designs. I am still awaiting my first boards to arrive using this library. I did not brake out the SW-LINK pins as this would mean de-soldering the existing pins. I may add a variant later.

Please see modified download bellow

Thanks @simonf

I have used the Maple mini as a module on a PCB and it works well.

Actually I did not do the Maple Mini I just added the BLUE PILL to the same Library. I am now struggling because the eagle lite wont let me do a 10cm x 10cm PCB. :(

I have a volume controller board and was hoping to get the receiver board on the same pcb.

I use Eagle but I only have light, as most of the time I'm only doing small boards.

I know a lot of people have now moved to KiCad and I need to migrate to it for both commercial and non commercial work, but I find that companies seem to prefer files in Eagle format, as perhaps they can import into Altium etc

Yes, that was the reason why I've switched from Eagle to Kicad more than a years ago.
If it can help, here is a online tool to migrate Eagle library to Kicad :

I've made gerber files from Kicad and sent them to Itead. The boards turned out nicely.

I'm sure KiCad is fine.

Its just the initial learning curve... Like with everthing

Hi all,

My First batch of boards made using my blue pill library arrived from Itead on xmas eve. I have just had chance to make them up. All was fine with the library but I did notice a slight problem I mislabelled PA15 as PB15 (Pin30) I have corrected it and uploaded the correct version.

The bottom board is a volume control board based on the blue pill.

I made an Eagle library for the BluePill, it's not perfect, but I think this can help:
